Watkins Glen, New York - August 5th, 2009 - The Beyer Racing team returned to Watkins Glen International today for the second time this year to prepare for Friday's Crown Royal 200,  Round 9 of the 2009 Grand-Am Rolex Sports Car Series presented by Crown Royal Cask No. 16 season.  Entering the last quarter of the season the rookie two-car team has shown steady progress and flashes of brilliance with both their #5 Lennox Chevrolet Crawford and #13 Lennox Chevrolet Riley Daytona Prototypes.  The #5 car driven by Jordan Taylor and Jared Beyer turned some heads at Barber Motorsports Park only a few weeks ago by consistently lapping within tenths of the leaders in only the second time that the Beyer team used their Crawford chassis.  Mike Forest and Ricky Taylor became protagonists at the July Daytona race after leading the Rolex Sports Car Series field with their #13 car for several laps and fighting the top positions for most of the race.
