This weekend was REALLY tough! The entire team pushed through some major problems during practice, kept confident, kept pushing hard, and in the end of the day the team came home with a fantastic result of fourth which is the teams, as well as my personal best result in the Grand Am Series. Everyone in the paddock looks at us as the small and relatively inexperienced team in the paddock and at this point in the season I think everyone in the series is starting to realize that Beyer Racing can really perform and run up front consistently.

Montreal, Quebec, Canada - August 28th, 2009 - The Beyer Racing team struggled today at the Circuit Gilles Villeneuve as Mike forest and Ricky Taylor worked throughout the day with the Beyer crew to improve the performance of their #13 Lennox Crawford Riley on the brakes and over the curves of the 2.709-mile circuit.  After some positive setup changes Mike Forest, who is one of the very few Canadians on the Rolex Sports Car Series field, qualified his Daytona Prototype in the 12th position with a lap of 1m36.678s.

What a great weekend!!! From our best qualifying position of the year to leading the most laps during the race, we have definitely started moving in the right direction. This weekend I was again driving with Mike Forest in the number 13 Chevrolet Riley and unlike the 6 hour event at Watkins Glen we were running the short course which is the same as the long course except shortened by four corners.

Like most weekends for young teams, we struggled during the first session but we would have to get it sorted out quickly because unlike most weekends this weekend we would only have one practice session before qualifying. Dominic our engineer got the car working very well for Mike and I before qualifying. Our strategy for the weekend was for me to qualify and start the race while Mike would finish the race. Qualifying came and immediately we knew that we had a good car on the third lap of the session we had the car in p3 on the charts but by the end of the session we got shuffled back to 6th place and that is where it would finish up.

Watkins Glen, New York - August 6th, 2009 - The Beyer Racing team achieved its best qualifying position of the season today after Ricky Taylor qualified the #13 Lennox Chevrolet Riley in the seventh spot for Friday's Crown Royal 200 at Watkins Glen International.  Jared Beyer took the wheel of the #5 Lennox Chevrolet Crawford for qualifying and with another strong showing from the young rookie driver who will line up 17th for tomorrow's race.

This will not be the first time Ricky Taylor and co-driver Mike Forest show their muscle as they have threatened the leaders in various occasions throughout the season and with their best starting spot of the year they should once again be a force to be reckoned with.  The duo of Jared Beyer and Jordan Taylor, which is by far the youngest driver combination in the series, will be looking to carry on the momentum gathered at Barber Motorsports Park and achieve their first top ten result in their Crawford chassis.
